Musk makes joke about Gov. Pritzker’s weight on social media, Pritzker fires back

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker fired back at Elon Musk after the billionaire made a personal insult about his weight on social media. Musk, posting on X (formerly Twitter), wrote, “Nothing is more dangerous than getting between JB Pritzker and the buffet table!” alongside a video of Pritzker speaking at a press conference about federal funding cuts.

Pritzker responded with a pointed remark, posting an image of himself at Chicago’s iconic hot dog stand, The Wieners Circle, with the caption: “I salute @TheWienerCircle, not Nazis.” His response appeared to reference past criticism of Musk, who has been accused of making gestures resembling Nazi salutes during Donald Trump’s inaugural parade.

The exchange follows tensions surrounding Illinois’ stance on immigration enforcement. Musk’s insult came after Pritzker reaffirmed his commitment to protecting Illinois residents from policies of the Trump administration. Meanwhile, state lawmakers recently introduced a bill to repeal the ‘Trust Act,’ which would require local law enforcement to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

The online feud highlights the ongoing political divide between Musk and Pritzker, with Musk increasingly vocal in political debates. As the controversy unfolds, Pritzker continues to emphasize his priorities of defending freedom, health, and security for Illinois residents.
